Panel Discussion on Bone Substitutes
As part of the activities of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the College of Dentistry, University of Mosul, a panel discussion was held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, entitled:
“Bone Substitutes.”
The session was presented by Assistant Lecturer Junina Hussein, who provided an overview of the main types of bone substitutes used in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery. She also highlighted recent scientific research on their effectiveness and potential applications in bone reconstruction and support of oral surgical practices.
The panel was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Manar Mudhafar Al-Naama, Head of the Department, with the attendance of several faculty members from the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, in addition to the participation of professors from other departments.
At the conclusion of the session, Dr. Junina responded to the audience’s questions and inquiries related to the topic of discussion.
