A Seminar Entitled “New Approaches in Accelerating Orthodontic Tooth Movements” Held at the College of Dentistry – University of Mosul
As part of the activities of the Department of Pedodontics, Orthodontics, and Preventive Dentistry at the College of Dentistry / University of Mosul, a seminar was held on Monday, October 6, 2025, under the title:
“New Approaches in Accelerating Orthodontic Tooth Movements.”
The seminar was presented by Assist. Lecturer. Maimona Abdul Kareem Bakr, who provided an overview of the latest scientific and research-based methods aimed at accelerating tooth movement in orthodontic treatments. She also highlighted the newly developed techniques in this field and their role in reducing treatment duration and improving clinical outcomes.
The session was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Sarmad Subhi Al-Qassar, Head of the Department of Pedodontics, Orthodontics, and Preventive Dentistry, and was attended by several faculty members of the department who enriched the discussion with their scientific insights and valuable contributions.
At the conclusion of the seminar, Dr. Maimona Abdul Kareem responded to the attendees’ questions and inquiries related to the topic, emphasizing the importance of keeping pace with scientific advancements in orthodontics, as they represent a fundamental pillar for enhancing both the clinical and research skills of the college’s students and academic staff.
