A Seminar on Immediate Dental Implantation
As part of the activities organized by the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the College of Dentistry, University of Mosul, a seminar entitled “Immediate Implant” was held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.
The session was presented by Dr. Saif Saad, who discussed the concept of immediate implantation, which involves placing the dental implant directly after tooth extraction in the same clinical session. The lecture highlighted the main advantages of this technique, including reducing treatment duration and preserving the bone and supporting tissues. It also addressed the essential conditions for the success of the procedure and the challenges that may arise during practical application.
The seminar was chaired by Assist. Prof. Dr. Manar Mudafar Al-Naama, Head of the Department, and attended by a number of the department’s faculty members.
At the end of the session, Dr. Saif responded to questions and inquiries raised by the attendees regarding the topic.
