Scientific Symposium Highlights Medication Safety and Its Impact on Oral and Dental Health

Organized by the College of Dentistry at the University of Mosul, and in collaboration with the Nineveh Health Directorate / Center for Training, Development, and Human Resource Empowerment, the scientific symposium entitled “Medication Safety Week” was successfully concluded on Monday, 3 November 2025.
The symposium was presented by Prof. Dr. Faihaa Azhar Mohyelddin and Asst. Lecturer Omar Abdullah Salih, who addressed the latest concepts related to medication safety, with an emphasis on its direct implications for oral and dental health, as well as its role in promoting safe medical practices within healthcare institutions.
The event aimed to enhance health awareness among students and medical personnel, clarify best practices for proper medication handling, reduce medication errors, and highlight the importance of integration among healthcare teams to ensure high-quality services delivered to the community.
The symposium witnessed remarkable attendance and active engagement from participants, reflecting the College of Dentistry’s commitment to supporting scientific activities that contribute to community service and the advancement of the healthcare landscape in Nineveh Governorate.
