Field Visit

As part of the Oral Diagnosis Department’s community service activities, and in cooperation with the Scientific Affairs Unit and the Voluntary Work Unit of the Student Activities Division at the College of Dentistry, the department’s staff, accompanied by a group of students, conducted a field visit on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, to Mama Qamar Private Kindergarten.

The visit aimed to enhance children’s health awareness. The team delivered an introductory lecture covering the fundamentals of oral and dental health care and emphasized the importance of instilling such awareness from an early age, as it contributes to shaping an informed generation capable of building a healthy and promising future.

The medical team, together with the college students, also performed a series of preliminary examinations for the children, which included evaluating oral and dental health as well as some general vital indicators. Necessary medical guidance was provided for cases requiring special follow-up. The students demonstrated initiative, responsibility, and positive engagement with the children, reflecting the level of preparation and training emphasized by the College.

The visit successfully achieved its objectives and was highly appreciated by the kindergarten administration, which commended the collaboration and the efforts made, stressing the importance of such initiatives in strengthening partnerships between educational institutions and the community.

These visits constitute an essential step in building trust with the community and motivating students to continue contributing and making an impact throughout their academic and professional journey, as fieldwork forms the foundation upon which a dentist’s skills and distinction are built.
