The Deanship of the College of Dentistry extends its sincere congratulations and best wishes to Dr. Ahmed Maher Tawfiq, a faculty member in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, on the occasion of being awarded the master’s degree in Periodontology and Peri-implant Diseases from the College of Dentistry, Al-Mustansiriyah University, Baghdad.
His thesis, entitled: “The Effect of Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) Membrane Layers on Peri-implant Tissues”
investigated the impact of using multiple layers of platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) in enhancing the healing of tissues surrounding dental implants. The study demonstrated a significant improvement in soft-tissue thickness and preservation of bone level during the early healing phase.
As the College congratulates this distinguished scientific achievement, it wishes Dr. Ahmed Maher continued success and excellence, and further accomplishments in his academic and professional career.
