Workshop on Education in Islam

 

Under the patronage of the Presidency of University of Mosul, and within the framework of implementing the Third National Action Plan for Women, Peace and Security, and in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit at the University Presidency and the Health and Values Project at the Sunni Endowment Directorate, the College of Dentistry / University of Mosul organized a workshop entitled:

“Education in Islam”

The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of education in building both the individual and society in accordance with the Islamic approach founded upon values, ethics, and moderation. It also sought to promote educational awareness within the family and the wider community, while emphasizing the pivotal role of sound education in preparing a conscious generation capable of confronting intellectual and social challenges.

The educational lecture was delivered by Eman Abduljabbar, who addressed several significant themes related to the concept of education in Islam, the foundations of developing a balanced personality, and the role of the family and educational institutions in instilling moral values and ethical principles. In addition, the lecture highlighted the importance of educational guidance in fostering positive behavior and strengthening social cohesion.

This workshop forms part of a series of scientific and awareness-oriented activities that the College of Dentistry / University of Mosul is keen to organize, in line with the directives of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in supporting educational and awareness programs aimed at building a conscious society grounded in authentic human and educational values.
