The Studies and Planning Division at the College of Dentistry, in cooperation with the Studies and Planning Department / Sustainable Development Unit at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, held a workshop entitled “Principles of First Aid During Disasters and Crises” on Monday, 12 October 2026.

The workshop was held at 11:00 a.m. in Lecture Hall No. (2) at the College of Dentistry building. It featured a lecture delivered by Lecturer Saad Hussein Murad, from the College of Nursing, which addressed the fundamental principles of providing first aid and responding promptly and directly to emergencies and disasters.

The workshop was offered free of charge as part of the Continuing Education activities under the 2026–2027 plan. It also aimed to contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 1, 3, 4, 11, 15, 16, and 17, in addition to implementing the second, fourth, and fifth pillars of the National Strategy for Education and Teaching (2022–2031).
