On Monday, September 1, 2025, the Department of Orthodontics, Pediatric, and Preventive Dentistry, College of Dentistry, University of Mosul, held the discussion of the master, Forwarded by Manar Nashat Al-Khayat. The study investigated the effectiveness of coconut oil on gingivitis and dental plaque among students at the College of Dentistry, University of Mosul, using established statistical indices (Gingival Index and Plaque Index). It was concluded by the research aimed to determine the effectiveness of coconut oil mouthwash in reducing dental plaque accumulation and gingivitis among dental students. It also compared the use of mouthwash once versus twice daily, examined differences in outcomes between male and female students, and assessed whether any oral disturbances or changes in taste perception occurred following the use of coconut oil.
