Panel Discussion on the Role of Statins in Bone Remodeling and Enhancing Orthodontic Retention

As part of the activities of the Department of Pediatric, Orthodontic, and Preventive Dentistry, a panel discussion was held on Monday, September 22, 2025, entitled:
“Statins Effect in Bone Remodelling and Their Potential Application in Orthodontic Retention.”
The session was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Dr. Saba Najman Yaseen, who provided an overview of the types of statins used in bone remodeling and their potential application in enhancing orthodontic retention. She also presented proposals for future research in this field.
The discussion was chaired by Assist. Prof. Dr. Sarmad Subhi, Head of the Department, with the attendance of the faculty members of the Department of Pediatric, Orthodontic, and Preventive Dentistry.
At the conclusion of the lecture, Dr. Saba addressed the audience’s questions and inquiries related to the topic.
