College of Dentistry at the University of Mosul was Organized a Lecture on the Importance of Voluntary Work and Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals
As part of continuing education activities, and in cooperation with the Presidency of the University of Mosul / Department of Studies and Planning – Sustainable Development Unit, the Department of Studies and Planning at the College of Dentistry organized an awareness lecture entitled:
“The Importance of Voluntary Work in Serving the Community and Encouraging Youth Participation in this Endeavor.”
The lecture was delivered by Professor Dr. Mohammed Saleh Al-Jubouri and Ms. Sally Moqdad Younis.
This event aimed to highlight the pioneering role of voluntary work in serving the community, in addition to enhancing youth participation in these significant societal initiatives. The lecture also emphasized the role of voluntary work in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly:
Goal 1: No Poverty
Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities
Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
The Department of Studies and Planning affirmed that such activities contribute to promoting the culture of volunteerism and strengthening the spirit of active citizenship among youth, with a positive impact on the local community.
