Master’s Thesis Defense on “Comparative Evaluation of Fracture Resistance of Endodontically Treated Lower Premolars Treated with Different Post Systems”

On Sunday, September 28, 2025, the Department of Conservative Dentistry, College of Dentistry, University of Mosul, held the discussion of the master, Forwarded by Marwa Yahya Abbas Al-Shammari. The study investigated the effect of the type and length of different fiber posts on the fracture resistance of endodontically treated mandibular premolars, as well as their influence on the bond strength of the posts to the root canal walls. It was concluded by the research aimed to assess fracture resistance and failure patterns of a set of fiber post systems with two different lengths within the root canal, in addition to evaluating their interfacial adaptation.
The results revealed statistically significant differences in fracture resistance, failure modes, and interfacial adaptation among the different post systems. However, no significant differences were observed in fracture resistance between the two post lengths within each group
