College of Dentistry

Within the framework of the Continuing Education activities for the academic year 2025–2026, the Scientific Affairs Unit and the Studies and Planning Division at the College of Dentistry, University of Mosul, in cooperation with the Department of Scientific Affairs, the Department of Studies and Planning, and the Sustainable Development Unit at the University Presidency, organized a workshop entitled “Principles of First Aid for Emergency Cases During Disasters and Crises”, held on Sunday, 28 December 2025.
The workshop was delivered by Lecturer Dr. Saad Hussein Murad, a faculty member at the University of Mosul / College of Nursing, during which he addressed the most important steps and procedures that must be followed when disasters and crises occur. This contributes to enhancing the capacity of academic staff and students to deal with emergency situations in a scientific and organized manner.
A number of the College’s staff members attended the workshop as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen knowledge and practical skills related to first aid and emergency management.
This workshop aligns with the Third, Fourth, Sixth, Eighth, Fifteenth, and Seventeenth Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), aiming to promote safety and public health and to build the capacities of the academic community in confronting crises and disasters.
