On Sunday, August 16, 2026, the College of Dentistry at the University of Mosul hosted Dr. Khalid Mohammad Yousif Al-Mukhtar from Queen Mary University of London, United Kingdom, as part of the External Examiner Program. The week-long academic visit aims to review the master’s program in Orthodontics and evaluate its scientific and academic components.
Dr. Al-Mukhtar was welcomed by the Dean of the College, the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, the Head of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division, and the Head of the Quality Assurance Unit. The meeting included discussions on various aspects of the postgraduate program, academic workflow, and quality assurance mechanisms for program outcomes.
Additionally, the respected College Council hosted Dr. Al-Mukhtar in the presence of Dr. Ibrahim Faris Ali, Head of the Learning and Teaching Operations Support Unit in the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department at the University Presidency. The discussion centered on academic and scientific dimensions of the Orthodontics program, teaching methodologies, assessment and clinical/academic supervision mechanisms, alongside exploring avenues to advance the program in alignment with academic accreditation and quality standards.
