Today, Sunday, October 17, 2021, thesis in oral and maxillofacial surgery, entitled “The Effect of Aloe Vera Gel on the Healing Process of Oral Membrane Tissue and Bone Tissue” (Experimental Study on Rabbits) was discussed today, Sunday, October 17, 2021. The thesis submitted by the student (Asmaa Abdulelah Hassan Shukri) to evaluate the effect of aloe vera gel on the process of healing defects in the oral membranous tissue and alveolar bone tissue of rabbits, including processes of healing granulation tissue formation, new blood vessel generation, re-epithelial tissue formation and bone healing tissue formation.The thesis concluded that aloe vera gel showed an effect significantly positive in reducing the intensity of inflammation and increasing the growth of the healing granulation tissue and the formation of new blood vessels and epithelial tissue in a greater percentage within the process of healing the oral membranes studied in this experiment and a positive also remarkable effect on the process of bone reconstruction in terms of the noticeable increase in the growth of the granulomatous tissue and the healing bone and the formation of More new bone tissue.
The discussion committee was chaired by the membership Dr. Sultan Manwa / Al-Hadba University College / member, and Dr. Nour Abdullah Suleiman / member, and Dr. Omar Walid Majed / member and supervisor.
The thesis was accepted after making modifications to it.
