Vision:
To train students and graduates in alignment with the objectives of the University of Mosul in serving the community and enhancing the College’s role in developing the scientific, technical, and practical competencies of graduates, enabling them to effectively manage various clinical cases in their future work within governmental institutions and private clinics.
Mission:
The Qualification and Employment Unit at the College of Dentistry contributes to the community by preparing dentists with practical skills and scientific knowledge. It promotes partnership between the University and both public and private sectors to provide employment opportunities and meet workforce requirements with qualified national personnel across all dental specialties and genders. The Unit also seeks to reduce graduate unemployment and improve their professional productivity.

Tasks and Responsibilities
The Unit is responsible for:
Designing and implementing scientific programs and training workshops for students and graduates, emphasizing foundational knowledge from undergraduate studies.
Preparing students and graduates to handle less common clinical cases.
Establishing communication channels with governmental and private institutions to facilitate training opportunities.
Continuously monitoring labor market changes to guide curriculum adjustments.
Educating about entrepreneurship and correcting societal misconceptions about reliance on governmental employment.
Following up with graduates and maintaining communication between the University and College.
Providing professional guidance to enhance graduate efficiency in diverse work environments.
Encouraging students and graduates to establish dentistry-related projects to meet legal training requirements.
Collaborating with the Dental Association to monitor private sector labor market trends.
Partnering with the Nineveh Health Directorate to implement health and preventive programs supporting graduate training and employment.
About the Unit
Established in 2019 within the University of Mosul’s Qualification and Employment Division, the Unit empowers students and graduates by developing skills and preparing them for the labor market. It promotes an entrepreneurial culture, reduces unemployment, and opens professional opportunities in public and private sectors.
The Unit enhances practical and professional skills through training programs during studies, facilitating graduates’ applications for competitive employment.
