Women’s Affairs
Vision:
Empowering women to become effective partners and a fundamental pillar in achieving sustainable development, within a homeland that guarantees their full constitutional rights. We aspire to build a capable female identity able to confront challenges and enhance its role across all fields, while ensuring full protection and equal opportunities (economically, socially, and politically). This enables women to advance their capacities and contribute to the advancement of the University, the Ministry, and the nation.
Mission:
Working to equip women in the university community with the necessary knowledge and skills and to further develop them, preparing them as active societal members and effective leaders capable of participating in decision-making and influencing the formulation of strategic policies, thereby ensuring the advancement of the status of university women in both the present and the future.
Objectives:
The Unit seeks to achieve the following objectives:
Leadership Empowerment:
Increasing the representation of women in leadership positions by highlighting female competencies and showcasing their achievements.
Academic Support:
Developing women’s scientific capacities within the higher education sector by facilitating and supporting their participation in local and international conferences.
Economic Empowerment:
Enhancing women’s contribution to economic development by providing the necessary support for women-led projects and initiatives.
International Partnerships:
Mobilizing support from the local community and international organizations to contribute to the implementation of United Nations resolutions related to women’s rights.
Awareness and Protection:
Raising community awareness of women’s status and rights and combating violence through the organization of training courses and the conduct of specialized research in cooperation with relevant centers.
Public Image:
Improving the portrayal of women across various media platforms (visual, audio, and print) in a manner that reflects their true and honorable role.
Fostering Creativity:
Honoring creative and distinguished women in their respective fields through creativity awards and documenting their success stories in documentary films.
Support for Young Female Researchers:
Nurturing outstanding young female researchers at the early stages of their academic careers through specialized committees that select, support, and develop high-quality research.
Women’s Affairs Committee College of Dentistry:
