Vision:

The Department of Chemistry is able to keep up with the latest scientific and practical techniques in the field of chemistry and works in close partnership with schools and educational institutes. Moreover, the chemistry department provides high-quality learning, teaching, and research aiming at a better future for graduates. Our department also prepares students and graduates for a diverse and changing job market. The essential goal is to improve the quality of chemistry society through teaching, scholarship, symposiums local and international conferences.

Message:

The message is to maintain the qualification of teachers who work in public and private schools and other educational institutions, as well as raise the ability to contribute to creating positive societal and cultural changes compatible with scientific developments. The chemistry department also provided an excellent preparation of scientific researchers whose career paths require expertise in chemistry. The department dedicates to rigorous standards for knowledge, communication skills, research quality, and professional behavior. It also commits to demonstrating science as a human endeavor to enhance our life.

Goals:

1- Preparation of qualified teachers according to modern scientific methods to work in Iraqi schools.

2- Contribute to raising the efficiency of schools and educational institutions through educational programs and training courses.

3- Preparing a generation of scientific researchers in different chemical disciplines in order to contribute to solving problems in the various industrial sectors such as private and public sectors via joint research programs between universities and private companies for more creative research outcomes.
