Assistant Professor Dr. Mai Abdulhafez Abdulqader, Director of the Environmental Research Center at the University of Mosul, has co-authored a scientific research paper with Assistant Professor Dr. Taha Ahmed Al-Tayyar, entitled:

“Physicochemical and Microbiological Characteristics of Rainwater in Different Land-Use Areas of Mosul City, Iraq: Influence of Meteorological Conditions”

The paper was published in the Wisdom Journal for Studies and Research, Volume 06, Issue 05, dated 31 August 2026, starting on page 468.

The study investigated the physicochemical and microbiological characteristics of rainwater in Mosul City, based on samples collected from residential, agricultural, and commercial areas, while examining the influence of meteorological and environmental conditions on rainwater quality.

The research provides important environmental data on chemical and microbiological contamination in rainwater, contributing to environmental assessment and sustainable water-resource management.
