New Scientific Publication by Assistant Professor Dr. Mai Abdulhafez Abdulqader

Assistant Professor Dr. Mai Abdulhafez Abdulqader, Director of the Environmental Research Center at the University of Mosul, has co-authored a new scientific research paper entitled:
“Machine Learning for Surface Water Quality Management in Malaysia: Integrating Physicochemical Parameters, Nutrient Loads, Land Use, Hydrological Conditions, and Anthropogenic Pressure”
The paper was published in The International Journal of Engineering Sciences, Vol. 2, No. 2 (2026), pp. 54–84.
The study explores the application of machine learning techniques for surface water quality assessment and management in Malaysia by integrating physicochemical, hydrological, spatial, land-use, and anthropogenic variables. The research contributes to improving water-quality prediction, pollution-event detection, source-pressure identification, and sustainable water-resource management.
DOI: 10.64440/IJES/EngineeringX0021
The study highlights the importance of integrating artificial intelligence and machine learning approaches into environmental monitoring and water-resource management to support sustainable environmental decision-making
