Dr. Saba Khair Al-Din Al-Taei, Chairman of the Standing Committee for Sustainable Development and (Director of the Environmental Research Center), believes in the importance of field follow-up and in order to see what the faculties have accomplished in terms of achieving the goals of sustainable development and alternative energy. A program of visits and meetings with the ladies and gentlemen of the colleges’ deans has been developed. During the past few days, each of the faculties of environmental sciences and technologies, the College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering, the College of Dentistry, the College of Nursing, the College of Veterinary Medicine, the College of Law, the College of Fine Arts, the College of Pharmacy, the College of Medicine and the College of Agriculture and Forestry were visited, accompanied by Dr. Abdel Sattar Abdel Qader, Mr. Suhaib Al Barawi and Dr. Alaa Hamdoun, members of the committee During the visits, the work accomplished by the faculties was documented, and views were exchanged on sustainable development issues and obstacles to filling out forms related to the subject, for which general policies were set by the head of the committee, with an emphasis on the role of each college in the first university festival for sustainable development, which is to be held early next March. In the coming days, visits to the rest of the faculties and centers in our dear university.
