The Environmental Research Center holds a training course on solar energy.
Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Qusay Kamal al-Din al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Dr. Saba Khair al-Din al-Ta’i, Director of the Environmental Research Center, on July 9, 2024, the Center held a three-day training course entitled “Solar energy and its role in enhancing occupational safety: challenges and solutions” in the interview hall/building. The session was chaired by Assistant Professor Taha Ahmed Al-Tayyar (teacher at the Environmental Research Center), and it was also attended by a representative of the University Presidency, Assistant Professor Dr. Rawa Boutros Boulos, Director of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations at the University of Mosul, and a large number of members of various departments in the University of Mosul participated in it. The training course began with a speech from Dr. Saba Khairuddin Al-Taie, in which she welcomed the attendees and then gave a simplified and brief presentation about the course lectures and about solar energy.
The first day of the training course included two valuable lectures, the first was entitled “An Introduction To Solar Energy in Renewable Technologies” delivered by Dr. Omar Saadallah Hamid, and the second lecture was entitled “Renewable Energy Integration in Microgrid Networks” delivered by Dr. Salwan Samir Sabry.
