Continuing Education Training Course on Financial Integrity
As part of the Continuing Education Program at the Environmental Research Center, University of Mosul, a training course entitled:
“Financial Integrity: The Foundation of Institutional Trust and a Pillar for Achieving Sustainable Development”
was launched on Monday, June 8, 2026.
The first day of the course featured two specialized lectures:
* Dr. Aws Saad Al-Taie delivered a lecture entitled:
“Financial and Administrative Corruption: Concepts, Causes, and Prevention Mechanisms.”
* Dr. Hala Abdulhadi Al-Sayegh delivered a lecture entitled:
“Financial Integrity and Transparency in Institutional Work.”
The lectures highlighted the importance of promoting integrity and transparency within institutions, discussed the concepts and causes of financial and administrative corruption, and reviewed effective mechanisms for prevention and control. The sessions also emphasized the role of good governance in strengthening institutional trust and improving organizational performance in support of sustainable development.
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Addressed by the Course
* SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions – by promoting transparency, accountability, integrity, and anti-corruption measures.
* SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth – through strengthening good governance and responsible management practices.
* SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals – by encouraging knowledge sharing and institutional cooperation in the fields of integrity and governance.
This course reflects the Environmental Research Center’s commitment to spreading a culture of integrity and transparency and enhancing awareness of their vital role in building effective institutions and achieving sustainable development.
