Closing Ceremony of the Training Course

The Environmental Research Center / University of Mosul concluded the activities of its continuing education training course entitled “Financial Integrity: The Foundation of Institutional Trust and a Pillar for Achieving Sustainable Development” on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. The three-day course aimed to promote the principles of financial integrity, transparency, and accountability, and to highlight their role in building strong institutions that support sustainable development.

The final day featured two scientific lectures. The first, entitled “Between Law and Conscience: Engineering Trust through Financial Integrity,” was delivered by Dr. Sawsan Mankal Mutlaq, who discussed the importance of integrating legal frameworks with ethical values to strengthen integrity and institutional trust. The second lecture, “Financial Integrity and Its Role in Supporting the Green Economy,” was presented by Asst. Lect. Zainab Mohammed Mahmoud, highlighting the significance of financial integrity in fostering sustainable economic development and advancing green economy initiatives.

The course witnessed active engagement from participants through discussions and the exchange of ideas and experiences, contributing to the achievement of its training objectives and enhancing awareness of the importance of applying integrity and transparency principles across various institutions.

The program concluded with the presentation of Certificates of Appreciation to the lecturers in recognition of their valuable scientific contributions and their efforts in ensuring the success of the training course. Their role in promoting a culture of financial integrity and supporting good governance practices was highly acknowledged.
