Two Scientific Seminars at the Environmental Research Center – University of Mosul

As part of the scientific activities of the Environmental Research Center at the University of Mosul, two scientific seminars were held today, addressing important environmental and sustainable development topics that contribute to raising environmental awareness and supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
🔹 The first seminar was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Mai Abdulhafidh Abdulqader and was entitled:
“Sustainable Management of Healthcare Waste”
The seminar highlighted modern approaches to healthcare waste management, safe treatment and disposal methods, and their role in protecting public health and reducing negative environmental impacts.
🔹 The second seminar was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Amna Faris Farhan and was entitled:
“Sustainable Smart Cities”
The seminar discussed the concept of smart cities, the advanced technologies used in their management, and their role in improving quality of life, enhancing resource efficiency, and achieving sustainable urban development.
Both seminars witnessed active participation from researchers, academics, and staff members of the Center, with fruitful discussions and scientific exchanges that enriched the presented topics and promoted knowledge sharing.
