In line with the directives of the Honorable President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi ,highlighting the importance of providing an ideal study environment for students during the final examination period and promoting digital transformation in the university’s institutions, The Director of the Central Library, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Jassim Mohammed, held a meeting with the library staff during which he addressed the ongoing preparations to prepare the classrooms in order to ensure a suitable atmosphere for study, in

addition to discussing the development of the library work and improving the services provided to students and researchers.

During the meeting, His Excellency underscored the need to intensify efforts to organize classrooms, providing calm atmosphere in them, and basic scientific sources.

He also asserted the importance of keeping pace with the digital transformation by maintaining and updating the Automated Cataloging System (Koha) and enhancing the work of the digital repository in a way that contributes to preserving the university’s scientific output and making it available, in addition to developing electronic archiving and digitalization systems to preserve paper collections and converting them into digital formats that facilitate preservation

and retrieval processes.

The meeting also was touched on the importance of working as a team, raising the level of technical and administrative readiness, and continuing to develop the staff’s skills in line with the requirements of the next stage.
