Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of the Director of the Mosul Studies Center, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Nizar Al-Dabbagh, and in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning – Sustainable Development Unit/University of Mosul, and as part of the Center’s administration and the Mosul Studies Center Library Committee’s efforts to participate in scientific courses that serve the library’s work, Dr. Mohammed Nizar Al-Dabbagh, Director of the Center and Head of the Library Committee, and Ms. Shahd Waadallah Yassin, the Center’s Librarian, participated in a training course entitled “The Impact of Digital Transformation on the Work Environment of University Libraries.” This course was organized by the Central Library under the supervision of the Secretary-General of the University of Mosul Libraries, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Jassim Mohammed, as part of the activities of the Continuing Education Division at the General Secretariat of the Central Library. Held from June 22-23, 2026, the course aimed to enhance the digital skills of university staff and highlight the importance of digital transformation in developing library and administrative services, improving information management efficiency, and facilitating access to electronic resources. It also introduced modern digital applications, cloud computing tools, electronic archiving technologies, and QR codes, and their role in improving services provided to users, thus contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 10. 4 and 9.
