Under the patronage of the Honorable Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and the supervision of the Honorable Assistant President of the University of Mosul for Academic Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdul Rahim Ibrahim Jassim, the Department of Studies and Planning at the University of Mosul Presidency, represented by Professor Dr. Muthanna Subhi Suleiman, Director of the Department, held a workshop entitled: “The Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainable Development Rankings: Concepts and Challenges.” The workshop was attended by the Director of the Mosul Studies Center, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Nizar Al-Dabbagh, accompanied by the Chairman of the Center’s Sustainable Development Committee, Assistant Professor Dr. Hanaa Jassim Al-Sabaawi, and Mr. Muhammad Muslim Khader, the Center’s Media Officer. The workshop took place on Sunday, June 22, 2025, in the Euphrates Hall. The workshop was attended by the Assistant Deans of Colleges, liaison members of the Sustainable Development Committees, and representatives of Academic Affairs and Media. During the workshop, the Assistant President of the University of Mosul for Academic Affairs instructed the attendees to pay attention to incorporating scientific and cultural activities and events related to achieving sustainable development standards according to the Times Higher Education (THE) and QS World University Rankings into the format. Related to it, in line with the University of Mosul’s aspirations for global advancement. The workshop also discussed the most prominent dilemmas and answered attendees’ inquiries.
