A lecturer from the Mosul Studies Center attended a discussion of a university thesis on the city of Tal Afar from a social perspective at the College of Arts.

Based on the Mosul Studies Center’s efforts to monitor academic events and activities related to the city of Mosul and its environs, Asst. Kamal Ashour Khader, a lecturer in the Department of Historical and Social Studies at the Mosul Studies Center, attended part of the discussion of the higher diploma equivalent to a master’s degree, entitled: “Social Problems in Secondary Schools and Their Impact on Social Peace – A Field Study in the City of Tal Afar,” by student Abdul Karim Taha Khader. The discussion took place on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, in Ibn Al-Atheer Hall in the College of Arts. The presence of the Center’s professors at this discussion stems from the Center’s belief and interest in following up on field studies related to the districts, cities, and towns of Mosul, given their importance in field documentation related to the Center’s work, particularly in the humanities and social sciences.
