Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision and attendance of Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Jassim Mohammed, Secretary General of the University of Mosul Libraries, and in implementation of the Third National Plan for Women, Peace and Security, the Women’s Affairs Committee of the Continuing Education Unit at the Central Library, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit of the University of Mosul Presidency, held a workshop entitled: “Digital Empowerment of Women.” The workshop was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Ghada Abdul Karim Abdul Aziz, and moderated and presented by Ms. Rawaa Asim Nouri, Head of the Electronic Library. The Mosul Studies Center participated, represented by the presence of the Center’s Librarian, Ms. Shahd Waadallah Yassin, and Ms. Ashwaq Abdul Ghafoor Jadoo, upon the nomination of the Director of the Mosul Studies Center, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Nizar Al-Dabbagh, to engage staff in workshops that serve the field of work. The workshop addressed the definition of digital empowerment of women, as a process aimed at providing women with the skills and knowledge necessary to use technology effectively, helping to achieve gender equality in the digital age and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
