In implementation of the directives of the University of Mosul Presidency, represented by the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Director of the Mosul Studies Center, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Nizar Al-Dabbagh, to encourage the teaching and administrative staff to participate in cultural activities at the University of Mosul, Assistant Professor Dr. Arouba Jameel Mahmoud, Ms. Ahlam Aref Suleiman, and Ms. Basma Ali Muhammad Amin, representing the Director of the Mosul Studies Center, attended the Fourth Umm Al-Rabee’in Festival of Arabic Calligraphy and Ornamentation. The festival, held under the slogan “Letters of the Two Springs: Engaging with Authenticity and Embracing the Horizon of Tomorrow,” was organized by the Iraqi Cultural Center for Arabic Calligraphy and Ornamentation – Nineveh, in cooperation with the Student Activities Department – ​​Art Division. It was held concurrently with the First International Book Fair and Forum at the University of Mosul, specifically at the Fine Arts Museum, Student Center, on Sunday, October 26, 2025. The festival featured diverse artistic and decorative works showcasing various types of Arabic calligraphy and its diverse styles, incorporating decorative and artistic elements related to calligraphy.
