… Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and as part of the efforts of the Mosul Studies Center, represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Nizar Al-Dabbagh, to encourage staff participation in workshops and training courses related to their work, Ms. Shahd Waadallah Yassin, Librarian at the Mosul Studies Center, attended the workshop organized by the Department of Information and Knowledge Technology, College of Arts, entitled: “The Role of Sustainable Development in Libraries.” The workshop was presented by:

• Lecturer Dr. Omar Tawfiq Abdulqader
• Lecturer Sarmad Sadiq Ghazi
• Assistant Lecturer Asmaa Ghanem Ramadan

The workshop aimed to highlight the growing importance of libraries in supporting and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals globally. Its significance lies in its attempt to shed light on the pivotal role of information and knowledge in promoting sustainable development.
