Mosul Studies Center Board Meeting

The Board of Directors of the Mosul Studies Center, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Nizar Al-Dabbagh, the Center’s Director, and in cooperation with the Studies and Planning Department – Sustainable Development Unit/University of Mosul, held its first meeting for the 2025-2026 academic year at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. The meeting was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Nizar Al-Dabbagh, the Center’s Director, and attended by members of the Board. The meeting included an emphasis on monitoring the progress of research and publication in Scopus-indexed journals, following up on the progress of discussion panels, continuing education courses, training courses, and volunteer work, as well as appointing and approving the administrative and scientific committees within the Center. The meeting also emphasized the work of the Women’s Affairs and Sustainable Development Committee and the field surveys, the organization of lectures on human rights, the participation of staff in courses and workshops relevant to the work both within and outside the Center, and the importance of fostering a spirit of cooperation among all teaching and administrative staff, working as a unified team, actively participating in scientific activities related to the Center’s work, preparing for the joint publication of a book by the Center’s staff, and providing all necessary services. For users of the library committee, which serves the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goals 4, 5, 8, 11, and 16.
