In implementation of the directives of the University of Mosul Presidency, represented by Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Assistant President of the University of Mosul for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdul Rahim Ibrahim Jassim, and within the efforts of the Mosul Studies Center, represented by its Director, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Nizar Al-Dabbagh, to implement university directives and circulars, the Editor-in-Chief of the Mosul Studies Journal, Professor Dr. Maysoun Dhunoun Al-Abaiji, and the Managing Editor of the journal, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Ahmed Al-Obaidi, attended the meeting of the editors-in-chief and managing editors of the university’s scientific journals. The meeting, chaired by Professor Dr. Abdul Rahim Ibrahim Jassim, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, was held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. During the meeting, the approved scientific publishing and indexing standards were discussed, along with the most important factors leading to their scientific rigor, while adhering to publication ethics. Emphasis was placed on establishing clear scientific policies for this purpose, in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goals 4 and 16.
