College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, the esteemed President of the University of Mosul, and under the direct supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Maan Hassan Abdullah, the esteemed Dean of the College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering, the college participated in the National Tree Planting Day on March 12, 2024. This event was part of a broader tree-planting campaign initiated by the University of Mosul across its campus. The College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering took part in this national initiative, which supports environmental protection, by planting trees, shrubs, and flowers around the college’s perimeter. Faculty members and staff from both the academic and administrative teams supervised this initiative.

In conjunction with this occasion, the college also held a workshop titled “For a Better Environment, Plant a Tree,” presented by Agricultural Engineer Rami Jasim Fadhil. The workshop highlighted the importance of this national tree-planting campaign, which our university has embraced, as well as the necessity of preserving the environment by planting trees, especially as the world is experiencing significant climate changes and an increase in desertification.
