College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, the esteemed President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Maan Hassan Abdullah, the esteemed Dean of the College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering, a training course titled (Significant Comparison between the Flow in Pipe and Aquifer) was held from March 12 to 14, 2024. The course aimed to elucidate the differences between fluid flow in reservoirs and aquifers compared to fluid flow in pipes. On the first day of the course, the types of fluid flow within reservoirs and aquifers were explained, in addition to the impact of the reservoir on the type of flow. On the second day, the types of flow in pipes and methods for calculating fluid discharge within a pipe were discussed. The lectures of the course were delivered by Dr. Ibrahim Adel Al-Hafiz and Assist. Mr. Ghofran Fares Al-Rahawi.
