Workshop on Continuous Improvement Methodology and Performance Evaluation Using the Rubric Tool at the College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering

Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Ma’n Hassan Abdullah Al-Majid, the Department of Petroleum Reservoir Engineering, in cooperation with the Department of Dams and Water Resources Engineering, organized a workshop titled:

“Continuous Improvement Methodology and Performance Evaluation Using the Rubric Tool”

The workshop was held on Thursday, 6 November 2025, at 10:00 a.m., with the participation of the College of Engineering – Department of Dams and Water Resources Engineering, and in the presence of the Administrative and Scientific Assistant Deans, several department heads, and faculty members.

The workshop was delivered by:

Lecturer Dr. Saad Waleed Saadi
Asst. Lecturer Zaidon Muhannad Khalil

The workshop discussed mechanisms of continuous improvement in academic institutions and how to adopt the rubric tool in evaluating student performance and educational programs to enhance the quality of learning outcomes and improve institutional performance.

A certificate of appreciation was presented to Asst. Prof. Dr. Saddam Mohammed Ahmed in recognition of his efforts in preparing and presenting the workshop and his contribution to promoting a culture of quality and the adoption of modern assessment tools.

This workshop comes as part of the college’s ongoing efforts to enhance academic performance and achieve comprehensive quality requirements, in line with the university’s direction to elevate academic ranking and strengthen institutional effectiveness.
