Vision:
The vision of the department is to make the Department of Mining Engineering a vital department that adopts a distinguished engineering academic and research program, achieving educational and Research Excellence at the national and international levels by providing academic services and research activities with high professionalism through the department, faculty members, and students
The message:
The Department’s mission is to graduate mining and metallurgical engineers with a distinguished educational level that reflects the modern technical level, which qualifies them to enter directly into the fields of mining and metallurgical engineering profession or to complete their higher studies, in line with environmental conservation and achieving sustainable development goals.
Objectives:
1- Develop students’ technical and personal skills to ensure their ability to adapt to technological advancements in their professional careers.
2- Perform professional duties efficiently, while adhering to applicable laws, regulations, and professional ethics.
3- Prepare students to pursue postgraduate studies in mining engineering or related fields.
4- Enhance communication, teamwork, and leadership skills to support their professional development and effective contribution to institutions.
5- Raise awareness of the mining engineer’s role in health, safety, and environmental protection, through the application of occupational safety and environmental standards.
