Regional Studies Center Holds a Seminar on Policy of International Axes and its Impact on Iraq

Regional Studies Center held a seminar for the research entitled “The Policy of International Axes and its Impact on Iraq,” presented by Assist. Prof. Dr. Batool Halil Al-Moussawi on November 5, 2023.

The seminar aimed to study the trends of the current international system and the fact that it is moving towards forming a new structure based on the principle of multi-axis, as well as tracking the extent of its influence on international peace and security in general and on Iraq in particular.

The seminar involved three sections: the first one included a definition of the axes policy within a historical framework, while the second section focused on the features of the formation of the new international axes and the possibility of competing with American influence. The third section answers a very important question, which is the extent of the impact of this policy on Iraq.

The seminar concluded that the policy of the axes that began to take shape in the arena of international interactions is shaped by the main actors to achieve gains whose price will be paid by the weak and middle-power countries.
