Regional Studies Center / Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Studies and Planning Department / Sustainable Development Unit, organized a training course on 17-18 May 2026 entitled “Guidelines for Enhancing Integrity and Transparency in Iraqi Universities”. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Ahmad Ghazi Tahir Al-Obaidi.

The training course aimed to strengthen the principles of integrity, transparency, and good governance within academic institutions, while raising awareness of combating administrative and financial corruption and reducing its manifestations. It also addressed the guidelines and mechanisms for their implementation, contributing to confronting corruption and adopting appropriate measures to limit its spread.

The training course emphasized the importance of building a university environment based on accountability and justice, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
