Regional Studies Center, through its Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Sustainable Development Unit of the Department of Studies and Planning at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, organized a scientific workshop on Monday, 12 October 2026, entitled “Securing and Enabling Two-Factor Authentication for Official University Email Accounts”. The workshop was delivered by Lecturer Abdulghafour W. Abdulghafour.

The workshop aimed to raise cybersecurity awareness and protect university accounts against unauthorized access by explaining how to enable two-factor authentication and highlighting its importance in safeguarding official data and information.

The workshop forms part of the university’s efforts to support digital transformation and develop technical capabilities, thereby contributing to a secure and sustainable university environment.

The workshop aligned with the objectives of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions).
