The Remote Sensing Center Continues Its Active Role in Serving State Institutions

Within the framework of its scientific and consultative mission aimed at supporting state institutions with specialized expertise, the Emeritus Professor at the Center, Dr. Hikmat Subhi Al-Daghestani, has received a Letter of Appreciation from the Nineveh Investment Commission in recognition of his distinguished scientific and professional efforts in providing aerial maps of Nineveh Governorate.

These maps represent a significant contribution to the application of remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technologies in the preparation and analysis of spatial data. Such data play a crucial role in supporting planning and investment decision-making processes, thereby enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of development projects within the governorate.

The Remote Sensing Center affirms that this recognition reflects its ongoing commitment to leveraging scientific research and geospatial technologies in the service of sustainable development. It also underscores the Center’s dedication to strengthening effective partnerships with state institutions to achieve urban and regional planning objectives based on modern and precise scientific foundations
