Remote Sensing Center Holds Workshop as Part of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025 Activities

As part of the activities of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025, the Remote Sensing Center held a workshop on Tuesday, 10/2/2026, entitled “Entrepreneurial Activities and Their Role in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals.” The workshop was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Fawzi, Head of the Department of Natural Resources and Engineering Sciences at the Center.
The workshop reviewed the concept of entrepreneurship and its importance in supporting sustainable development, highlighting the role of entrepreneurial projects in creating innovative solutions to environmental and economic challenges. It also emphasized the importance of employing scientific research in building projects with long-term sustainable impact.
The workshop stressed the need to strengthen a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation within academic institutions and to link research outputs with practical applications in ways that contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This workshop is part of a series of scientific activities organized by the Center to support scientific research, develop entrepreneurial capabilities, and encourage innovative ideas among researchers and postgraduate students.
