The Remote Sensing Center Crowned with the Sustainability Shield at Mosul University’s Sustainable University Week

The activities of the Sustainable University Week at the University of Mosul concluded on Thursday, April 30, 2026, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University, at Mahmoud Al-Jalili Hall, with broad official and academic attendance.

During the closing ceremony, the Remote Sensing Center was honored in recognition of its active role and distinguished contribution to the success of the week’s events. Assistant Professor Dr. Abdulrahman Ramzi Qubaa, Director of the Center, received the Sustainable Week Shield on behalf of the Center, in his capacity as a member of the University’s Central Preparatory Committee.

The Center’s contributions included developing examination questions and supervising the Environmental Knowledge Competition, in addition to participating in the Sustainability Exhibition held alongside the University Day for two days.

The Center’s administration emphasized that this achievement reflects the continuous efforts of its staff—particularly the Sustainable Development Committee—in advancing sustainable university initiatives, thereby contributing to the attainment of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and reinforcing sustainability concepts within the academic environment.
