Remote Sensing Center Participates in the Discussion of a Master’s Thesis at the University of Mosul

In pursuit of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), Prof. Dr. Fawzia Mahmoud Ramo, a faculty member at the Remote Sensing Center, participated as a member of the Master’s thesis discussion committee at the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Department of Computer Science, University of Mosul.
The thesis discussion was held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. The thesis, entitled “Improving Aspect-Based Sentiment Analysis Using Modern Natural Language Processing Techniques,” was submitted by the graduate student Marwa Ismail Hamdoun Khalil Al-Obaidi.
The study addressed the development of an integrated framework for aspect-based sentiment analysis using modern natural language processing techniques. The proposed approach contributes to advancing artificial intelligence applications, improving the efficiency of text analysis, and enhancing the understanding of textual content.
At the conclusion of the discussion, the Head of the Department of Computer Science, on behalf of the Dean of the College, presented a Letter of Appreciation and Recognition to Prof. Dr. Fawzia Mahmoud Ramo in recognition of her distinguished scientific efforts and valuable contribution to the thesis discussion.
