A number of academic staff members from the Remote Sensing Center at the University of Mosul have received an official letter of appreciation from the Office of the First Deputy Governor of Nineveh, in recognition of their distinguished efforts, dedication, and commitment in performing their assigned duties, as well as their effective contributions to accomplishing tasks with high efficiency and a strong sense of responsibility.

The recognition included:

• Professor Dr. Rayan Ghazi Thanon
• Dr. Khansa Abdul-Ilah

This appreciation comes in recognition of the scientific and professional role performed by the center’s staff, as well as their continuous efforts in supporting governmental institutions through the provision of scientific and advisory expertise and the application of modern technologies in the fields of remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
