A Workshop to Boost Nomination for Science Day Award Based on Solid National Standards
The Scientific Affairs Department at the University of Mosul held a specialized workshop on the Iraqi Science Day Award on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. The workshop was attended by Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University; Professor Dr. Abdul Rahim Ibrahim Jassim, Vice President for Scientific Affairs; and Assistant Professor Dr. Rafal Hassan Hamed, Vice President for Administrative Affairs.
The workshop aimed at raising awareness of the award’s mechanisms and categories, as was determined by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and to encourage faculty members, researchers, and students to actively take part by preparing nomination files that meet the approved national criteria.
The workshop included a review of the electronic evaluation requirements and the development of plans to expand the university’s participation in the awards, thereby highlighting its academic and research achievements and enhancing its national standing.
This workshop aligns with the University of Mosul’s commitment to supporting scientific excellence and innovation and raising the competitiveness of its academic staff.
