College of Tourism Sciences

The College of Tourism Sciences organized a voluntary tree planting campaign in commemoration of National Afforestation Day, with the patronage of an Asst Prof. Dr. Mohammed Naif Mahmoud,  Dean of the College. Occurring on March 12, 2024, this endeavor engaged faculty members and students alike

Mr. Mahmoud emphasized that this initiative is in line with the national campaign launched by the Prime Minister to plant 5 million trees and palm trees across Iraq, aimed at mitigating the effects of climate change. He also stressed the university’s commitment to preserving a sustainable and clean environment and preventing pollution.

It is worth mentioning that students at the college carried out awareness campaigns, distributing leaflets to encourage tree planting both on and off college.
