Dean of the College of Tourism Sciences Chairs a Ministerial Committee to Evaluate the Academic and Scientific Reality
Prof. Dr Manal Raafat Khalid, Dean of the College of Tourism Sciences at the University of Mosul, chaired the ministerial committee assigned by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to evaluate the academic and scientific reality. The visit occurred at the College of Tourism Sciences, University of Karbala, on Wednesday and Thursday, October 1–2, 2025.
The visit included a field tour of the scientific departments, administrative units, and laboratories, during which the committee examined the level of organisation, infrastructure, and efforts made to enhance the educational environment.
As the head of the committee, Dr Manal emphasised that the visit’s outcomes reflect significant progress in the college’s academic and administrative performance. She commended the efforts of the college’s deanery and teaching staff in implementing quality standards and advancing institutional performance in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
This visit supports Goal 4 of the Sustainable Development Goals (Quality Education) by strengthening the academic environment and achieving accreditation standards to ensure the quality of higher education in Iraqi universities.
