Towards an Aware Society: Awareness Workshop on the Dangers of Drugs at the College of Tourism Sciences

As part of the awareness campaign adopted by the National Security Agency, the College of Tourism Sciences held an awareness workshop on the dangers of drugs on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. The event was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Manal Raafat Khalid, the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, the heads of departments, as well as the college staff and students.
The workshop aimed to raise awareness about the health, social, and psychological risks of drugs, explain the causes of their spread, and provide preventive measures. It also addressed the impact of drugs on individuals and society and presented strategies to confront this phenomenon. Attendees were given the opportunity to participate in interactive discussions and ask questions, which helped enhance their awareness and empowerment.
This initiative reflects the College of Tourism Sciences’ commitment to its social role in cultivating a conscious and responsible generation. It is directly linked to the Sustainable Development Goals by supporting health and well-being (Goal 3), promoting quality education (Goal 4), and contributing to preventive culture among youth, enabling them to make responsible decisions.
